engine cuts out

engine cuts out
hopefully someone can help me understand whats going on with my slight problem. the problem i'm having is that sometimes at speeds of about 37 mph, and 57 mph my '85 302 with e40d tranny will just cut out and if i shift to neutral or slow down below shift points the engine will come back in.any ideas out there.

If I understand you correctly, the engine is cutting out? If so, I would put a code reader on the engine and see what codes you have. You can read the codes with a testlight or voltmeter also. Here's a site that will help you with that.

yes sir, its like you just turn off the key and when u shift to neutral and back to drive it'll come back on but the funny thing is it wont do it all the time. drivin my wife nuts cause it seems to do it with her all the time. i've just learned to deal with it. fixin to do front cap swap to '94-'96 and paint.
