I got some good used tires for my 52 for FREE. A Local won some money on the 649 so he bought some new tires for his car. The FIL told me about them so I tried one on and they fit. They are a 215/65/16 Goodyears of some sort with quite abit of tread left.
Can`t beat free especially when it`s for one of our beasts.
I`m always looking for tires mounted on rims that hold air to keep my old parts trucks movable.
I was surprised that they would fit, but they fit pretty well and they will be good enough for a start. I just put them on the rims that came with the truck.
Morris what kinds/sizes/bolt patterns do you need? When I worked at the tire shop I accumlated alot of spare tires and rims. Im sure my dad would LOVE it if I cleaned them out of his yard haha.
Good score Colin, we are gonna need some progress pics pretty soon though!
I`m looking for the standard Ford F100 bolt pattern 15'', anything from 1967 to pre 1997. As long as the tire (that`s already mounted on a rim) holds air will do.
if its a 5 on 5 1/2 that your talking about (which you are) I actually have alot of spare tires and rims for those, from various trucks I have laying around. Ill round ya up a few sets one of these days when i get a chance, they are not much good to me.

thats 5 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern (same as old mopars till mid 70's)
I could use a set of "free" too!!! My 46 came with bald tires and this is my 3rd season with them!! One just went flat over the past few days and even seperated from the rim. Gonna take it to A1 tomorrow and see if they can reseal it....otherwise I'll have to spring for a set of used for it.
15's on mine. Some fine "Sears" Radial WW stripes on there now! I love how they SLIDE across the gravel on the roads what with the heavy oversteer of these trucks and the lack of tread - I'd hate to lose them!
