Woo! So I finally have gotten my long, long awaited first truck - An '88 Bronco II with a V6 2.9L engine. She's also a manual, so it has power behind it I would imagine. A/C works, manual windows, radio works, runs good, 4x4. Would this be a good first car for someone who lives in Northern Ohio? It has some 130k miles on it, but it IS a Ford.
i used an 85 ranger with a 2.9 and 5 speed to actually pull a race car trailer and car for some time . it'll do ya for a good vehicle . just don't expect it too be fast . the only reason i got a 1 ton to pull with was i got tired of the tail wagging the dog if you know what i mean . my 85 was a nice little truck and never let me down . only mechanical issue i ever had was the water pump went bad .
I had a 90 bronco 2 for my first vehicle. I live in pa and they go good in the snow, until your in 2wd and start goin sideways. Theyre really short so they come around really fast, theyre also top heavy so they shouldn't be driven like a race car anyhow. I loved mine and actually bought another one that I take out thru the woods. The 90 was too nice. I still have the other one I bought tho, got pictures in my garage on here.
Theyre great little vehicles, take care of it and it'll take care of you.
