need help with my 91
hey guys
i got a 1991 f-350 4x4 with the 7.5 v8 and 375000 miles on it and i cant figure out whats wrong with it, ive replaced the battery, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, ignition coil, air filter, fuel filter, and fuel pump, and even then, it still barely runs at all, all it does is idle rough and when you give it gas, it just dies out, im 18 and this truck (as bad as the paint looks) is my baby, ive put the last 100000 on it and i dont want to have to junk it, any ideas and tips would be beyond helpful

Welcome to FTE t.berry73,
For starters go over the wires, cap, coil and rotor again.
Make sure the firing order is correct and everything is secure.
Next check the emission system EGR, PCV and any hoses or fittings that might be loose.
Check your fuel pressure regulator and for fuel in the fuel rails.

thank you khadma, the pcv and egr seem to be in good working order, still need to check the reg and fuel rails, ill give it a shot when i get back home later, also, a friend of mine gave me an idea that worked when his f250 wasnt running right, said he unbolted the exhaust system and it ran like a dream again, turns out the cat was plugged up after so long, so i think ill give that a shot too, hopefully some of these ideas work

Ford Fuel Injection How To Run a Self-Test Here is a link on how to check for any stored trouble codes, may be worth doing. However good advice from khadma and definately check for a plugged cat.
