Need a Starter...

My '87 F250 needs a starter. It's a 351W. I found a starter for the same truck with a 302. It should fit, shouldn't it? Kelly.

Go to a Ford dealer and check part numbers.

Or, Rock auto and start playing with cross refs.

Yes, go to rockauto, autozone, or any of your favorite sites and look up both engines and write down the starter numbers. If they are the same, you are good to go.
