Rearend trouble
I own 02 Excursion 7.3 4x4...155k miles...when I make hard left turns from a dead stop I feel/hear a ratcheting sound from the rear end (very minor, but noticable) truck runs and drives well other than that. Any ideas?

You need to add the friction modifier to the differential.Have you changed the gear oil lately? If not, most here run 75-140 synthetic.Napa sells the friction modifier or the dealer. That will stop the shutterring in the limited slip rear end.

I 2nd that response! If you are in-fact due for a rear end oil change make sure to do it immediately. Each time you get shutter it's damaging the clutch plates in the limited slip.
