I bet this will change things. They are going to have to look into solving these problems ahead of time, instead of doing it on the fly when they happen, like they are doing now.
Supposedly, they are not going to, due to this, since we have a huge overstock in the country right now. They will go up, due to the driving season coming up (translation: legal price gouging by the oil companies) at the end of May. But, who knows, they may use this to jack up profits.
Oh, I'm sure. And, don't get me wrong, I'm all for exploration and offshore drilling, but these damn companies need to be much, much better prepared for when things like this happen. I tell you what, we here at the nuke plant sure as hell could just blow off preparation for an accident like this.
Ain't that the truth. I can't imagine the problems you would have if you guys had an accident like this. But maybe now others will have more safety systems in place so that this doesn't happen again.
The sad part is we get to complacent with things and we don't evolve with the process until something goes wrong, and in the case of the oil rig, very wrong!
