I have a turbo mounted on my flathead 51 f1. I have not started it yet because the exhaust is not ran. Anyway how much pressure can that carb take? will it affect my float or will my fuel pump keep up?
7-71/2 pounds is all i can recall a carb taking for pressure at most. it's early and the mind isn't working yet .. not that it ever is .....oh and that depends on the carb too . some more than others .....
Google turbo flathead; there was a video on utube showing guys putting turbos on flatheads one exploded, they may alo list what parts they used. There was also a thread on the H.A.M.B. about turbos on a flathead
I've met Joe Abbin several times, and have had some great conversations with him. He's a heck of a nice guy and he has a heck of a nice stable of flattie powered rides.
