Rotors and pads front and rear came in. Hope to get them on in the next week.
I've determined I need another bike. I love the Buell she's a keeper but I need something more everyday friendly.
I have even *gasp* thought about buying a big bore scooter. Like a 800cc piaggio. Or a 650cc big burg.
Most likely though I'll end up with a old sport bike for cheap that I can run till she pops.

Hoped on the bike to meet the wife for dinner. Left home everything seemed fine. Stopped for gas and went to head off... and the clutch didn't catch tell almost the end of the lever. Got to Morehead and parked it at Wal-Mart and she picked me up. Got done with dinner and grabbed a few things from walmart and limped the bike home. By the time I made it home the bike was a bitch to get moving and it would randomly catch/slip and slam as it caught.

Hydraulic clutch, shifting was fine.
As I eased the clutch out it wouldn't grab until almost the end of the lever, when it finally grabbed it was like you dumped the clutch. If you didn't wad the throttle to it and launch hard it would just stall the bike. By the time I got most of the way home if you threw the coals to it the motor would scream like the clutch was slipping and would slowly increase speed. If you backed off you'd finally feel the clutch grab. I parked it pissed off... I guess I'll take the clutch cover off it sometime and see if anything is obvious.

Finally pulled Ruby out of the garage. It's an 06 (I think) Honda CB 919 also known as the CB900F Hornet in other parts of the world. The gas had gelled in it, and the tank is going to need a good cleaning. With Key on, the battery is drained to 3 volts. So is in need on some electrical work. That's all I've found so far. Since the tank is fairly new before it was parked I'd like to see if I can take it off and clean it.
I've found what I think is the electrical diagram. Now it's just down to pulling pins and figuring out what's shorting.

I had to remove my entire front brake cable on the dirt bike this weekend and make adjustments to get it to work properly. Very little room for placement and adjustments. Got it working and took it for a spin down east this weekend.
While I was out riding my clutch is slipping. I need new friction plates and springs. Steel plates are fine. Barnett clutch kit on order.
The Buell has been running very well (knock on wood). It's loving these cooler temps.
I almost bought a 30 year old bmw airhead. I still might. It's not like I have enough crap to keep me busy already. But....
I should buy the honda but it's twice as much and twice as reliable. But apparently I'm a glutton for finicky old bikes.
