Difference in Bumpers
A couple of questions...
Whats the difference between OEM and aftermarket bumpers? I have seen some aftermarket bumpers that are very cheap price wise but I dont want cheap quality wise
Whats yall's opinion on the style of bumper i should go with? the standard (chrome with middle and lower valance) or the plantinum (chrome with lower valance).
I think the platinum bumper is a little cheaper than the standard...not by much

Well, the aftermarket bumpers are usually thinner and have not as good chrome plating jobs. I assume you mean platinum without the lower valance? I don't think the platinum has the lower valance from the factory. At any rate, if I were going to buy another factory bumper I would get the regular Lariat one that has the lower valance and paint the lower valance flat black...

Oh, is the price for the regular bumper with the lower valance? If yours is bad, or you don't have one, you will need that and the fastener speed nuts as well which would make the platinum cheaper...

the price for the regular bumper does not include the valance and hardware. the platinum is cheaper because they dont have to punch holes in it for the valance and then you dont have the $60-$70 for the cost of the valance either.
By platinum is it just the apperance package name or is the chrome a little different color also?
