Newbie here wanting info please?
I have recently picked up a fairly complete 64 f100, no engine or trans. I just today picked up a 62 Fairlane 4 dr with a 6 cyl. 3 on the tree. After sitting for 4(four) years I put a battery in it and it started right up. Will this 62 170? engine fit and be OK in my 64 F100? It is also a three on the tree. The front sub frame of the Fairlane has rusted through and failed. The body, trim, interior etc. are great.

Your getting back there in years,you may get better responses on the forum for the older trucks.Engine seems a little small,but I really don't know what they were running back then.Good luck with it,hope it works for you.Sounds like a good find.
