well, after some searching I've decided that I'm fine with the XLT if i couldn't find an FX4. so i found this 2009 F150 XLT 4x4 on Autotrader. 13,400 kms for $33,000 CDN. seems like a good deal to me! it has SYNC, 20" Rims (must've been added aftermarket). only problem i can see in the pics is one side has chrome door handles and the other does not i would have to even that out so it's not asymmetrical. (either both chrome or both black what do you think?) let me know if i should go for it or not!

Is it possible the door handles got mismatched due to doors being replaced after an accident? I don't know if you have something like Carfax in Canada, but if there is any way to check for body damage that has been repaired, do that first. If the truck has been hit and repaired, I'd skip it.
that or maybe you just cant see them because the way the truck is positioned and where the sun is. could be just a glare making it look like they are not there.
get this, i drive 2 hours on the ****ty snow and ice covered roads to see the truck, and there it was, pulling out of the dealer with permanent plates and it was squeaky clean, i ask the salesman and he said a dude got it for $26,500 and just drove out with it. it was perfect....and if i would've gotten it for $26,500, i would've got a profit, seeing as though my truck sold for $28,500. i went on to ask the salesman...just by curiosity...if it had been in an accident and why one side of door handles didn't match the other side, and the reason was that the previous owner didn't like the chrome look and didn't finish becuase he ran into some trouble and ended up downsizing to a Ranger. hmmm......

Bummer about your wasted time...I've been driving and buying cars since 1970 (probably 35-40 cars) and deals vaporize quite commonly. You'll find something else, and who knows? Maybe the truck you didn't get is the one with the transmission that will blow up a month after the warranty ends?
I'm in Michigan and got REAL sick of snow last winter, but we sure haven't had any for a while. Bummer you have that to deal with as well.
well, here's another contender. it's a slightly used 2009 FX4 Supercrew. silver, trailer tow package, sony stereo, 20" wheels, DVD player. however regardless of the Sony stereo, it doesn't have SYNC. hmmm. i wonder if my dealer could put in an aftermarket SYNC system. anybody had it done aftermarket?
