So me and the wife had a nice evening of playing in the snow with the F-150. Next day we go out to the truck and gettin ready to go to the airport, (she joined the AF and is off to Lackland) but what do I see... a f***ing puddle of coolant.
Took it to the dealer and they found a leak from the fins..... on the BACK of the radiator BEHIND the lip of the shroud! How?? Why??? and of course the waranty doesnt go into effect for two more weeks!! I just filled it up with gas!!! ARGH!!!
If you were going through high snow or snowbanks you likely were plowing through snow with your bumper and radiator. Doesn't take much force to tweak the radiator and cause a leak.

I am confused, if you have a warranty that takes effect in 2 weeks. why did you not just fill the system when it got low for the next 2 weeks then bring it in?
Because it will leak out all the coolant overnight, also I didnt know there was a two week lapse, but they will still cover it once the waranty is active
Are there two versions for the 5.4 radiator? I was looking online and saw one that said "standard cooling" and the other "heavy duty" or something like that, it was on autozone's website...
