Replacing Alt. Pigtail/Connector

Replacing Alt. Pigtail/Connector
My 05 350 6.0 p/s has two wires coming from the connector which pliugs on top of the alt. from the harness. I went to ford to but a new connector and it comes with three wires on it. Now there is a spot for a third middle wire on the current plug, just no wire. Could someone let me know how many you have or where i can find out what it is supposed to have. Thank you in advance. Just match the color coded wires up, splice them together, cap the third one and spot tie it to the harness.
