adding bio to diesel

I want to start adding b50 or 100 to a full tank of #2.
will the bio blend with the diesel if I just dump it in at fill up or is there a better way of mixing it?

Just dump it in. It'll mix just fine.

Making your own? Come winter you may need to do that anyway, depending how cold it gets... I am at about 70% bio now, still getting down into the 30's.

Buying not making. Just using it for it's lubricating properties in my 6.0, how many tankfuls before changing fuel filters - say if I run a B5 blend ?

In my 6.0 i have been doing it on the second oil change. So about every 6-8 thousand miles. That may be a little much but I really have way to much money in it to have somthing go wrong from a bad filter. You should be good with normal change intervals with b5 blend. If you notice loose of power i would change imediatly. Pluged filters and or not enough fuel pressure will kill every injector with no murcie.

Funny, this just happened to me this trip. Changed the filter and ran like new again. About 15000 miles on the filter, I was going to change it after i came home...
