this past weekend, i was at a swap meet and there was a large portable library with tons of owner's / service manuals. i came across what appeared to be genuine ford workshop manuals. these books were thick. i say books b/c there were 2 volumes! i browsed through them quickly and they seemed to be very detailed. they were pricey though: close to 200 dollars for the set.
just wondering if anyone has used something similar to this for working on their truck. i know there are some good online resources that can be subscribed to, but in my experience they are not very detailed (aside from the ford one). even saw on ebay a few dvds and stuff like that with service info. anyone have any of these?
I have the 2004 factory workshop manuals on DVD ROM . It covers every vehicle that Ford/Lincoln/Mercury built for that particular model year. Covers mechanical, electrical, vehicle specs, chassis, etc. It is expired so I have to change the date on my computer to 1/1/2007 when I use it. I spent about $20 to buy it.

I pay the yearly subscription of $17 to have access to my trucks manual, tsb's and recall's on alldatadiy.com. It works good for me but I have good internet access.
I posted the same thing in the garage and workshop forum and ended up getting it removed with a warning from one of the moderators. I guess it was assumed I was trying to sell something. Anyway.....here's a link to what I have found.
I purchased the big service manual for one of my trucks online and paid $100 for it only to find out I could have bought it from the guy in the link above (Al) for $25. Ended up purchasing 3 others from Al for $75 plus shipping. This guy is straight up and has ALOT of manuals for different vehicles, if you don't see what you're looking for on the list just send him an email.

I wish I got a kickback. I just like seeing all the updated stuff like TSB's. Paper books are good to set on the fender though. I just print what I need or use the laptop in my garage.
Thanks for the heads up, dont mean to break any rules.
