What to look for?
Hey guys and gals. I dont own a Ford yet but I am planning on getting one.....I'm planning on buying a 99-06 F250 or F350 Ext. Cab or Crew Cab Diesel. I was wondering if you would know what i should look for (problem wise) when I am out looking at these trucks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would narrow your choices based on your needs. Buy as new as you can afford. Get an OASIS report from a Ford dealer when you think you have a keepah.....will tell you all of the service/warranty work history. Do lots of searching through the 6.0 section of the forums. It will be scary at first but a lot of it comes down to finding a good truck that was well maintained.

Well I just picked up my 2000 Crew Cab F250 4X4 a few weeks ago. I immediately had to replace the upper and lower ball joints on the driver side & fix 3 of 4 door lock actuators. Those are very common problems with these trucks. YMMV.
