292 advice needed
I need help, I found a 292 w/70,000 mi in old grain truck, I need to know if todays gas cause's problems w/no lead., Do I stay original w/292 in f-260 4x4 or go w/ 1977 460? My tuck has 4 speed and 456 gears. Thanks Rod

You can do 1 of 2 things.
1 Use lead substitutie in your gas.
2 Install hardened valve seats.
With 70k on a grain truck it spent most of its life at high rpms. Doing the heads would probobly set you back about $200.
