Trans Temp sender question...

How is the actual sender wired up?

The previous owner of my truck had the sender plumbed into a soft line near the tranny cooler. Had one wire hooked up to it going to the gauge, and had another wire with a 12v source ending at the sender also.

How are yours wired? Is there just one wire from the gauge? Or is there also a power wire going to the sender?

Thanks for the links Rocky... but didn't have what I needed.

I'm not even sure what brand gauge it is, it was there when I bought it. I'll look and see what it is and check their website and maybe I can figure it out.

For now I just have the wire from the gauge hooked up to it. Took off the 12v power wire going to the sender before.

When I drive to work tomorrow I'll see if it's actually still working and if not I'll hook up that power wire again.
