How much is a rebuilt 7.3 short block worth?

I blew the HGs on my 7.3. I rebuilt the bottom end and then went to put the heads on. When I was cleaning them I found what looked like a hair on the right head, I looked closer and it has a tiny crack.
When looking for heads on CL I found a 6.9 that was just rebuild.
New IP and injectors, runs perfect and starts great from cold. 400 miles since the rebuild. Son rolled the truck into a ditch and he is parting it out.
I got it today, now I have no use for the 7.3 short block I have overhauled.

The block has been tested for cavitation and is good. The main bearings, rings and rod bearings are all new. The oil pump and pan are there, thats pretty much it.

No, Not at all, It's just not a rebuilt short block, it's a ringed and bearing short block.
Rebuilt means it's back to either factory tolerances or the engine builders chosen tolerances. Either way, Tolerances are specific.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with doing rings and bearings on a motor that's not worn out, done it many times!
-Enjoy

Bill, If someone were to attach a price to _your_ work, it _could_ insult you, something I wish not to do as I'm sure others don't either.
Please don't be offended by anything I have said, If I have done so I am eternally sorry.
Personally, I would put it up for Best Offer with detailed description of whats been done exactly! Including $$ spent.

The truth will not insult me, I understand that I won't get my money back out of it.
I am trying to decide if I can sell it for most of the money spent or if I should just keep it until I have a need for it. I would rather hold on to it then sell it at a big loss.
I have $600 in it. I was thinking of trying for $600 OBO, planning to take as low as $400.
What is it worth? Will it go for $400 or should I just hold on to it?
Thanks for all the help.
