no oil pressure
I have a 88 f-350 w/460 fi. engine is supposed to be a Jasper reman w/about 26 -28 thousand on it. my problem is that it lost oil pressure while driving( at least I believe, lifters got real noisy.gauge was not working at the time ). I pulled the pan and put a new high volume pump in it , pickup screen was clear w/no blockage. got it back together and still no oil pressure( have manual gauge on it ). lifters are still noisy. bottom end of engine seems ok no knockig ,bearings looked good, engine is clean as could be on inside not a spec of sludge at all.tried the oil filter adapter nothing clogged, and tried a second adapter to rule out. second time around on new oil & filter( vavoline 10w-40 & motorcraft filter )still not reading on gauge & lifters still noisy. do not know where to look next as I am getting frustrated!
