New running boards
So I bought and installed the glass boards I referenced on this very board a few weeks ago. Sadly, when I ordered them I failed to remember that i have 3'' wider rear fenders and no one makes a running board for same. So I had to cut the rear of each board off where it meets the fender and reconfigure. It turned out great. In the Mid Fifty catalog, Sy says that if your boards are bowed, even a little, like mine were, that it makes the truck look "unstraight". She is right. Altho likely no one ever noticed but me, looking at the truck from a distance, the thing had a minor "swayback" look to it (again prolly only to me) especially on the drivers side. All the straight lines are now parallell. Really made a huge difference! I'll post a couple comparison pics if anyone is interested.

I'd like to see your running board mods where you cut it. I just cut and welded together my stubby running boards for my trailer so it will be neat to see what you did!
