Best fix? Get rid of it. Bypass it or whatever you have to do but get rid of it. They are nothing but a problem.

Where is it leaking from, the bottom drain valve, or the whole thing? There is a bigger o ring that goes around the whole unit when you screw it on. Then there's a flat o-ring that the drain thing squeezes when you tighten it. Mine leaked a few weeks ago, and I couldn't find any flat o rings that would fit in there. So all I did was turn the old one over and it hasn't leaked since. You'll know what I'm talking about after you have it all apart. Or you can buy a filter that has the drain already built into it, then you can discard that bottom piece of your set up.

Don't think there is one made that'll fit the 7.3 housing ... I have not been able to find one.

Racor-Parker makes some that'll fit the head, but are to tall.

They have them for the 6.9 style though, Racor - Parker PF BF811 6.9L Ford Spinon w/drain

And for the 7.3 (Still uses the 7.3 bottom, I believe), Racor - Parker PF F829B 7.3L Ford Spinon

All the sensor is for is to display the "Water in Fuel" idiot lite.

For the average person, I would keep the sensor, however I check mine just about every time I'm under the hood, and always shortly after fueling ... Could care less about the IDIOT light!

Get the sensor one ... Less hassle for the operator.

The 94 should have a wire attaching to the bottom of the filter base that leads to the Idiot light.

Part of the filter on a 94 ... Water is heavier than fuel, drains out the bottom of the filter.
