back at it

hey guys, haven't posted in a while, been recuperating from my hernia operation. so now i'm putting my truck back together, and there's this piece that came off of the axle shaft when i took off the spindle. it's made of plastic, and one side is concave and the other side is flat. what i'm wondering is if the concave side faces out, or faces in. here's a few pics too for reference, thanks for all your help.

That should be a Spicer part number 38106, Spacer Wheel Bearing Spindle.
I believe I put mine in with the concave side inward, so that it rests up against the flat shoulder on the outer axle shaft. Believing the concave area provides room for the radius (fillet) on the outer axle shaft.

one more

thanks for that info, it fell off when i pulled the spindle, and didn't know which direction it should go, and as far as the nuts that hold the spindle to the brake dust shield and the caliper retaining bracket, i've looked all through my haynes manual, and don't see a torque spec for those nuts, anyone know?
