my daily is down, its an 02 f150, i was having a problem with the gauges coming on by themselves and searched around on here and figured out it should be the GEM module. I went to the ford dealership and bought one(yes, the correct one for it)i installed it yesterday and it is still doing it, just not as bad, should i replace the fuse block? or what? ideas?
You waisted money. The GEM does not control the dash gauges, that's why it didn't fix the issue..
What do you mean the gauges are coming on? When and under what conditions?
The dash is micro processor controlled.
The gauges should sweep full at key on as a test, then settle back to their directed positions.
A weak battery or poor cable connection will have an effect on what the gauges do.
