New Owner NEED HELP!!!
I recently purchased a 2004 F250 with 12400 miles. It of course has the 6.0L diesel powertrain.
I experienced a strange stumble at low rpms generally after truck has been idle for a little bit or in a lot of stop and go traffic. The problem is extremely intermittent and has only happened twice.
It seems that if the truck is warm and I have either been sitting idle or driving a lot of stop and go, it will stumble or hesitate like it has no power for a split second then it all comes back and is fine, however the tow/haul light blinks at me but without any driveability issues. I had diagnostics ran and it pulled a code for a "camshaft position sensor" and "incorrect gear ratio".
I am concerned more about a transmission issue than anything but according to the ford dealership, they said that if in fact something is making the truck lose power and it is in between shifts that it could throw the trans DTC.
Anyone have any input on what could cause this? Could it in fact be a CMP going bad? EGR possibly going bad? Or transmission issue?
thanks in advance
EDIT: should also state that if the truck is shut off and started again that the light no longer blinks
Also i have no shifting problems or weird transmission quirks.
