Hi Guys is there anyone out there that can help me.
I have a 1951 Ford F1 pickup that is giving me a nightmare with the steering.
I need either a replacement steering box or a means to update to power steering.
Any advice as to how or where to get it would be greatly appreciated.
I should add that I'm in little old england so i'm not just round the corner. But I have a passion for your old cars, nothing touches them.

Hello and welcome...
For starters, Q, you might want to post in the proper forum for your vintage truck. This forum is for 2009+ F150's and it's unlikely that many people interested in new trucks will have any experience with an oldie like yours.
Go to the main forum page and look for the forums on older models. The one you want is called: 1948 - 1960 F1, F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks
No problem, Q. Also take note of the "search" feature. If you are in a specific forum, like the one for your kind of truck, hit the "search this forum" button on the right side of the bar that is just above the messages, and you can put in "steering" for instance, and get a list of all the threads that may already contain some useful wisdom on your topic.
Having owned English cars in the US, it has to be hard owning a vintage American vehicle in England. At least you can swear at it in its native language (We used to joke about owning an Italian car and needing to have an Italian mechanic who could swear at the thing in Italian.)
