Hi all, I took advantage of huge discounts and bought a leftover 09 F350 CC/LWB/4x4/XLT/6.4/3.55 for a great price. I sold my 06 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab/LWB 4x2 5.9 Cummins last year. Was a great truck, but no comparison to this new 350. I have had 5 F150's, including the venerable 302, 5.4, and 4.6, and this is my first Superduty. At the time I had owned so many fords for so long I was sick of them, tried something new.
I did not buy a ESP warranty, but would like to know if you can buy one anytime before 3/36 expires?
How do you what Job build the truck is?
Is the factory security/alarm system worth it? Dealer wanted $695, I didn't buy it, but am a little worried about theft.
I did not buy a ESP warranty, but would like to know if you can buy one anytime before 3/36 expires? Yes you can. You can also buy a Dieselcare warranty for up to 200k miles, and if you buy it before the 3/36 runs out you can cover more engine components.
How do you what Job build the truck is? You would start by finding the build date on the window sticker. But I'm not sure how to determine the job start/stop dates.
Is the factory security/alarm system worth it? Dealer wanted $695, I didn't buy it, but am a little worried about theft. It won't be factory either way. Just dealer installed. Maybe shop around and compare features and prices, and consider including remote start.
Welcome home!
And i have to say i still have my 84 F150 reg cab, long bed, 4x4, 302 4 speed with the granny gear in and have to say i still love that truck! plain simple and reliable.

Thanks for the replies. I had an 84 reg cab long bed 4x2 with 302 carb, worked the heck out of that thing, still love those old metal mirrors and windwings..

No kidding. My old '95 had windwings. I think that was about the last vehicle made in America with vent windows. My wife could smoke while I drove and it wouldn't bother me. Why don't they put those on trucks any more?
