Here's what i did, Oil cooler replaced, complete EGR removed and took the turbo apart cleaned the rust and carbon build up off. It really was'nt that bad off a job(a few F-Bombs) but not bad. Only have one question, do you have to do anything speacial to the turbo after reconditioning it before putting it back on, or just bolt it on and roll? Also wanted to say thanks to all of you that helped out with my questions, very helpfull.
Good Job! I am doing mine right now I'm just waiting for the EGR delete kit to arrive tomarrow. Sorry I can't help you with your turbo question but I'm thinking about reconditioning mine as well since it is out and I have a bit of down time. I just hope it starts now lol.
I was the same way but she fired right up. I did the EGR delete myself. I saw on here someone welded a 3/4 to 5/8 fitting into the intake so i gave it a shot so far so good, i was just being cheep did'nt want to spend the $300, hope it does'nt come back to bite me in the a@*.
Good job. I have the fitting welded in since December 09 and no issue so far. Was your turbo pitted inside. I just did my turbo last week and the flange that the id of the unison ring rides on created a really tight fit to the unison ring. I cleaned everything up and put it back together....i hope all is well.
