How strong is the TTB front end after a lift of 4-6". I'm wondering if I should try and do a straight front end when I lift it. I'm not doing any serious rock climbing ( I do some however). But I'm into mud all the time and am dropping a stroked 351 (418) pretty soon. What are your expirences?
I have a 1985 F150, with the same ttb. I have a 6" lift with 36x12.50 on the front. I knew these tires were going to tear up the front end, and they did. However I ran 33's for a couple of years on the same truck and the front end was fine. If you did not want to switch to a dana 44 front then you can convert the ttb to 8 lug and i cant rember what else but it will hold up the larger tires. still not as good as a dana 44 or 60.
