door light lense?

door light lense?
i've got a 01 f350 and the little lense that goes over the light in the door has been missing since i bought it. i searched every local junkyard and cant find one. i dont even want to know what the dealership would want for one. does anyone know where to get one? i know it probably sounds like a stupid thing to look for but little things bother me i guess

I would try E-bay. Other than that the only option your left with is to steal one from one of your buddies Super Duties.

The part number for the red/clear lenses is 1C3Z13731AA but there was a recent thread where the OP found that they were being discontinued. If memory serves, Ed was able to find one somewhere.
If you go to Ed's site and search for the part number I posted above it says this:
"Part number 1C3Z13731AA was superseded by part number F81Z2523820AA."
and the new part number I believe is the solid red one.

The "Powerstroke" badge on the door is just adhesive (no guide pins). I don't remember what post I read it on, but somebody has changes all of their badging to the nicer chrome '05-'07 set and I believe they said that all the guide pins matched. Even if it doesn't, you can clip the pins.
It's also on my list of "would like to"...which follows my even longer list of "need to"...

I look at picking through wrecking yards as a good time. If I can find two lenses for a total of $10, I have saved $12 over buying new. Subtract the cost of gas (maybe $5) and that means I get paid $7 to dig through wrecking yards. I like getting paid to have fun. Besides, that is two gallons of gas I can put in the SD!!

I got mine from Ed, quick and easy, UPS brought it right to my front door. Time and fuel involved in hunting them outweighs "just gettin it done". It was driving me crazy having a hole where the lense was supposed to be !!!!
