Evaporator Core needs replacing

Evaporator Core needs replacing
The flange is bent on the pipe at the connection into the evaporator core on my 1997 F 150, so I guess I have to remove the core and put a new one in and I need info about this. From what I have heard & seen, this is quite a job....so do I try it myself or take it to a high price AC man? Any advise will be good
