Question about engine to frame perches

I did some searching and did not finD the answer for the exact combo I am looking at mixing, so , here it goes.

I found a donor truck that is a '79 F250 4x4 that use to have a 351M in it. Before I buy it, I need to make sure it will work for my application. The engine and transmission that I am planning to use for starters (just to get the truck on the road) is 360 w/ a manual transmission and married T-Case out of a '74 F100 4x4. Will the perches out of the '74 F100 4x4 fit the frame of the '79 F250 4x4 and put the engine in the proper location or do I need to find a set of perches out of an F250 4x4 that had a 360 in it?

Pretty sure you need 77.5-79 F250 4x4 300 six perches. The FE and the six share perches and you could only get the 300 in the lowboys so that is your perch. I don't know if the half ton or earlier stuff will work.

the FE (360) towers are the same from half to 3/4 ton as long as they are both 4x4. Although BEWARE that they WILL NOT bolt onto the frame. The 351m/400 towers bolt onto the frame approximately 4" rearward from where the FE towers bolt on. You will either have to drill holes in your frame to try to bolt these towers on, or possibly you could sit them on the frame and weld them in place, but as this sounds like a temporary fix i doubt you want to do that.
