is the trackbar really needed?

i want to take it off but what would the consequences be if i did? i want it off so i can lift it higher. thanks in advance

Yea you need it, steering would feel mushy and get steadily worse over time.

If you want to lose the trackbar you need to do a shackle conversion. If you don't you will end up with the dreaded "death wobble".
