dead ends

well ford guys i have run into some dead ends since getting back to the states. i can't find the gt4o heads that i was hoping for. so my question is what HP to expect from my 302 with the stock 84 heads with bigger valves, comp cam 35-230-3 kit, performer intake,1406 (600 cfm)carb, shorty headers hopefully we'll get started this weekend on the rebuild. i'm still looking for some E7's still!

The '84 heads flow as well as E7's they just have larger combustion chambers so CR is lower. How much you got to spend on heads? Can you afford some CNC E7's from Thumper Performance? Thumper of Orange Park These will put you well over 300hp while the stock heads or E7's will be well short of 300hp.

how much for those thumper heads? well i got back Paul and found out that we need to get another car so my rebuild budget got a shade smaller. but either way as long as it makes a good daily driver i'll be fine with it. for now!! meaning i could save up for the heads then install them later on!!!

With that cam the motor will certainly be quite a bit stronger than stock so your still have an upgrade to look forward to.

hey paul i sat down with the builder today.he thinks that he has a good set of cobra heads at his shop and he has a friend who customs grinds all of his cams so it all might be good!! he's going to take care of all the machine work. we also talked abut swapping the rear gears to the 3.55 also. so i think that i'm in good hands..
