Your under the valve cover wiring or the plugs that go to it are burnt. That's the most common cause.

Did you check the under valve cover harness connections??? mighta just lost the connections. there are 2 of them. check to see if their melted and disconnect them and look inside the connections to make sure everything is good in there. there is also a harness under the valve cover you could check, but i don't see why it woulda messed up right after doing a body lift if you didn't mess with any of the wiring and it ran perfectly fine before that.

To slow Joe!! Anyway, I had this trouble in ND and was stranded. I got on this site with the use of my cell and everybody told me the same as Travis and I are saying. I reported back that everything looked good with the plugs and one guy spoke up and said "CHECK IT AGAIN!!!!" I got a magnafine glass out and sure enough one pin on the outside of the plug was burned. On my camper I had a Honda 125 which took me to get parts.

help

i have look under the valve cover twice, everything looks good. the one thing didnt do was disconect the batters before i did the lift, iv been told that maybe i fried the icm but i dont know. its just like it just lost the left bank. you can unplug either plug and nothing changes. thats whats so weird i wasnt working around any of the wiring harnes, they went with the body when i raised it up. iv regrounded it three different places so i dont think thats it. thanks for all the imformation. this a very helpful site , i just stumbled across it one day and have found alot of realy goog imfor on here . thanks again ill keep playing around to see if i can find out what happen. terry.

wow.. i would think if the IDM was fried it wouldn't fire the whole injector circuit. that is quite strange. i mean it's not like all the solenoids on those injectors would go out and if the UVCH is good then it ought to fire if the IDM is good. i'm kinda lost on this. didn't think an IDM would lose one bank only, but i really don't know either so i guess we shall see!! hope that's what it is.

You should ohm the injector wiring. You may have a bad injector soleniod that has caused the IDM to shut down that bank.

Did you inspect the pass thru pins on the valve cover gasket when you replaced the harness?

help

i have bought a reman idm from alliant. ive put new wiring an gasket on that side an still nothing. the only thing know that i was using an impact to take the two front bolts out, an i had the breaker bar laying agaist the body an with alot of vibration it might have messed up the idm? not realy sure but its the only thing i can think of to cause this. im getting bald spot on me head from scratching it trying to figer out what the ---- happen. so well see what new idm dose. when and if i figer this out i will let you all know what happen. half the advice ive got thought it was in wiring the others think it the idm, so ive done the wiring and now waiting on idm. if that dosnt solve it its bud light time.

I don't think the vibration hurt your IDM. These trucks bounce down the road for hundreds of thousands of miles without damaging the IDM. Did you disconnect your batteries after the new wiring to clear any codes? Did you ever ohm the injector soleniods?
