'08 F-250 5.4 Here's the scenario: When the key is turned to "on" or "start" absolutely nothing happens. The battery is full and other electrical items are working fine. The only things I can find that are not functioning are dash - completely out- no lights or gauges, checked all fuses and they are fine, interior lights work, headlamps, taillights all work fine. The horn and running lights both work. It's acting like there should be a circuit breaker or fuse that is out but I cannot locate any that are bad. Anyone experience this situation before?
Maybe I should have been more explicit in my original post when I said "nothing happens"....including the shift level being inoperable !!! ???
I even tried the spare key thinking that possibly something had failed with the key, but again, nothing.

Sounds like something broke in the tumbler. It's about a $40 part if you don't have the key with the chip in it. The trick will be getting the old one out.
