Need Help Again, Fellas!!
Problem: Back in september, truck wouldn't fire up, like the fuel pump was out. After several tries that day, i gave up on it. Went back a couple of days later, fired right up, no problems. Then, about 3 weeks later, did the same thing. Only this time, when it did finally fire up, it ran like crap, VERY rough idle. put it in gear, give it some gas, and it wouldn't even move. It WOULD MOVE perfectly fine in reverse, however. The only way it would go forward is if I put it in 1st gear and gently feathered the throttle, and it would move just a bit at a time. Also experienced some very spongy brake pedal feel during these events.
I'm thinking it's just a clogged fuel filter, just letting enough fuel by to fire the engine up, but not enough for it to make enough power to provide adequate vacuum to properly operate the tranny and move itself, as well as the spongy brakes.
Any ideas folks? I'm all ears.
Thanks
