IC to Turbo boot

Hello all I ended up pulling the boot off cleaned everything up with brake cleaner and then reassembled, the squeak was still present at startup but after driving about 3 miles it somewhat calmed down and doesnt chirp as bad as before I also noticed the whoom noise gone, I cannot figure out why it hisses I torqued to specs aswell 9ft/lbs any other ideas maybe the boot has a pin hole somewhere? it is brand new though, I grabbed the fins on the turbo and it seemed fine no extreme play in it any ideas?

IIRC the tolerance for the turbo bearings is .001"-.004". So if it moves at all side to side they're bad. Seems like someone mentioned a rebuild kit recently for $125.

When you say hiss it makes it sound like you might have an exhaust leak. Check all of the connections on the piping that comes up to the turbo to be sure they're tight, and look around for any soot that might tip you off to a crack.

Slight side to side movement in a turbo is fine as long as it doesnt touch the housing at all. Any in and out play is bad.

I have rebuilt a few turbos with all brand new parts and they all have a very slight side to side movement.
