OK, the drivers side has a CCV, why doesn't the pass. side ? Are the valve covers interchangeable ? If so I could just use a drivers side on the pass. side, do the mod, then have both sides done.

I would assume because the CCV on the one valve cover is taking care of pressure build up for both sides.
The pressure that builds in the crank case can be exhausted through ether side as any pressure built is equalized through the oil return galleys that return oil from the valve train and injectors back to the oil pan. So it is only necessary to open one side to atmosphere as they are tied together.
The only reason that I could think of to vent both sides would be to reduce any possible backpressure that a longer hose run to the back of the truck could potientially cause. Two runs would give you twice the area of vent and 1/2 of the restriction.
Not a bad idea RobertJohn but I don't believe that the valve covers are swappable ....
Brandon (bdrummonds) ran a passenger side CCV through the top of the oil fill cap.
Don't you guys remember that?
I have a spare set of VCs and have thought about mounting a dog house on the passenger side VC. I just don't have a spare dog house. Don't really know if there is even room to do it.
