So i took apart my bench seat thought i would remember where the springs go to lock the bench seat for one position, well to no surprise of course i forgot where they go and now am stuck ( with no seats). Anyone know where these would go and maybe have pics. Its an 83 f250. I was painting the sliding rails to make them look better. in the process of redoing the interior. . And now am working on the dash components. Got most of the plastics all painted black
Also if anyone has any ideas as to covering up the fake woodgrain. i planned on useing like the carbon fiber stick on stuff. so kinda looking for ideas as to what to use for a stencil that i might not think of. tried useing cardboard from a case of soda but was to thick wouldnt bend right. like the carbon fiber better then the woodgrain. but dont want to have to cut little pieces and stick on.
thanks and happy truckin

In my honest opinion,I would go out to the junkyard and find some good 85-86 burlwood dash bezels and use them in your truck. The 80-84 Rosewood panels are really good lookin, and alot of people try pretty hard to find them with no luck. The 85-86 panels have a burlwood design on them that usually fades and turns pink,so nobody will really mind if you cover those up.I personally tried for 2 years before I found a decent set of woodgrain bezels.I'm not sure if you have A/C or not,but that will definitely make it harder as far as the cluster bezel goes. The stick on stuff would probably work just fine, just make sure the adhesive is good and that there is a good surface for it to stick.
I agree to a point, don't molest good rosewood woodgrain bezels and door panels. You can sell them on ebay or something. Get a set of faded burlwood bezels pretty cheaply in the wrecking yard and use those instead. Don't use a good set (unfaded) burlwood bezels either, they are worth more than the rosewood if in new condition.
These are just opinions, so do what you want, but I think the opinions are worth concidering at least.
I found the panel that goes around the gauges and the one for around the stereo for $10 on ebay in perfect condition.....I did not have $10 that day and missed it

Which ones? There were 5 or so different color bezel setupus available, and they could be had with A/C or without. If they were the black ones,i've seen so many it's not even funny.Rosewoods are a bit harder to find,Good condition Burlwoods are a rarity, and XLS panels are probably rarest of all.
