Truck is strong up top in rpm ranges. So many options with this 6 speed tranny between manual mode, regualar mode and tow haul mode... The manual mode is a little wierd what ever gear you lock out to once it down shifts say back to 3 coming to a stop you have to manually upshift from that gear back to top gear you wanted to begin with... Not sure i like strategy ...
Got to get hitch in truck next week so we can see how it pulls 5ver...

Nice color!! I just bought my 2010 same configuration except different gearing and of course the 5.4

 

No worries i am taking it easy on it at least until i get 500 miles LOL... The factory put 60 miles on it as it was one of the ones picked at random for testing.... I also see there are 2 labels on the factory pcm so they had already done a reflash for some reason.

wow! that wuz bad ****! that ***** wuz still coming on strong all the way up until it shifted, it wuz very nice. i hope the tuning, intake and exhaust are a little plugged up so owners can extract a little more from em.

Sounds really good for a freakin 7,500 Lb truck. Some say if it's gonna blow it's gonna blow, breakin it in nice does nothing. I don't know if I fall in that category but what the heck, she moves out.

If we ever meet up again in Ohio you have to bring it! I'm pretty sure it'd beat my 6.4....

 

Truck accelaerates strong, I'm shure the 4.30s help that a bit. I would have did some WOT runs too, wouldn't be able to resist. Look forward to seeing what you can do with it.

Mike it's going to be interesting to see how you like it pulling your 5ver, I would also like to know how big your trailer is so I can judge how it would handle our 16K beast. Do you have any plans on putting it on a dyno anytime in the near future so we can see how much HP it puts on the ground.
