The driver side window will slow down when it gets about half way down or sometimes stop and not go the rest of the way down. Anyone else had this problem and what was the cause? Thanks.
Actually I was referring to the vertical felt tracks. You don't need to pull the door panel off. With the window up take the straw that came with the silicon spray and stick it as for down as you can along the bottom of the window inside the vertical track. Give each side at least a 10 second spray. Then put the window down as far as it will go and then spray the vertical track above the window. Put the window back up. Spray again at the bottom of the window with the spray straw inside the track. Put the window back down as far as you can and spray the vertical track above the window.
Repeat until you can put the window all the way down. It will take a few cycles but if it's just the tracks being dry this process will eventually work and allow the window to roll all the way down. Just remember to re-lube the tracks every time you change the engine oil or at least a couple times a year.
On the 05 the door panel was super easy to get off. Mine needed lubed on the roller and pivot points on the mechanism that lifts the window. No way to get at those without removing the panel. Took me about 20 minutes for the whole job. (The manual helped.)
