loose steering

I have a 1989 ford E150 with a 5.0 and power steering. my problem is there is too much play in the steering. Is it possible to tighten the gearbox and if so how.

I would recomend you buy a Haynes Manual the procedure is spelled out in there. I would also spray the adjustment stud on top of your steering box with a good penetrant now to loosen it up.
