good to know, its gonna be a PITA to put my new battery cables on there so ill probably just pull it off again to bolt the little wire on there, then loctite it.
You must have a special torque wrench, because I use a torque wrench on everything that has torque specs, and have it calibrated. So, maybe you have a special procedure for tightening that we must not be following (those who have had a bolt back out).
Starter looks good! Have you fixed that oil seep that got original starter dirty? I have the same thing, but have not fixed it yet.
jkidd_39, i was wondering did you have to mod anything putting that db high torque starter in or was it just a simple bolt up, just wondering i just purchased one and was amazed on the size it dwarfs the factory starter and hits the engine crossmember to were i can't install the starter mount bolts and its sitting flush with the bellhousing,i need to rotate the starter to line up the holes but the head of the long bolt holding the motor to the gear reduction is hitting, if the lip on the crossmember was a 1/4" shorter i think it would go, called db and they said people had been grinding the crossmember for clearance issues just wondering thanks, oh and by the way my truck spit a the lower bolt out in the driveway, i'll say this i just purchased the truck and haven't had time to go over it with a fine tooth comb but i've never had a starter bolt loosen up or fall out.
