I went down to day to torque down my heads and install my rocker arms and push rods....the heads bolts went fine got them to 110, but when I was trying to torque my rocker arms down to 27 like you guys said my bolt broke off! ...lucky me I have extra bolts ......but what should I do about the torque now...is 27 to high?
You have to ask for the 7.3 specific book, hence they dont put diesel information in the regular book. This info is fact. I have such a book in my possesion.
The chiltons I have covers all from 76-86 and the other from 87-96. Both cover the diesels. Not as indepth as I would like but they do have torque specs and many other things. These books are a bit older lol. The one for the older trucks I bought back in 87 for the 79 I had.
i have the chilton for my 89 f150 and 94 f250 idi the 89 is completely covered by chilton and the the 94 is covered on everything but the engine really so i bought the haynes techbook for the engine it goes in depth
i will have to buy a new one soon that covers my 6.9 as the one I have is falling apart. It will suck with a new one as the pages will not be marked with greasey finger prints to help reference the needed info lol!
