Ok so my wife and I were talking about her time in the shower. She says her 20 minute shower is a average time for people. I say that its a lot longer then the rest of the world. Am I wrong? or is she?
It depends what she's doing. If she's just shampooing and washing, then 20 minutes seems like a long time. If she's doing other "maintenance", then 20 minutes doesn't seem so long.
im in and out and clean as a whistle in less than 5 min. my fiance always says" did you just take a shower?" which is evedent by the towel im wearing. then she says" how in the world did you take a shower that fast?" after three years toghether she still doesnt get it. showers last A LOT longer when we conserve water...wink, but even then im done before she is. wait....that didnt sound right, im done washing before she is.
I'm one of those "go in, and stay in for a while" type of people. Thats why I voted for the 20 minutes. True, that is a long time, but, heck, its 7:00 at night, you don't have to work, have no good TV show on, what elce can you do with your time lol ?
Well, becides come to the FTE boards
To me, sleep is a valuable commodity. I'm in and out of the shower in 5 minutes or less. If I were to take a 20 minute shower, thats 15 minutes less I get to sleep in the morning. I am usually showered, dried, dressed, combed, teeth brushed, listerined and out the door in 15 minutes. Breakfast is usually grabbed at a deli somewhere along the way.
There's nothing quite as relaxing as warm water beating on my back and shoulders - which I occasionally enjoy.
But when deployed we conserve water because there is only so much a ships evaporators can produce in a day, and water rationing is no joke!
My spouse has made jokes about how long I spend in the shower sometimes, but the flip side of the coin is that at home - it's a luxury I have very much learned to appreciate!!!
The first thing I'm going to do when I get back from... "BUSINESS" ...this week is go jump in the jacuzzi in the apartment's pool compound.

I'm with you on this one. I even gave up shaving 10 years ago just for 5 more minutes of
I start work at 5am (Canadian time), so I'm in the shower at 4:30. Far too early to mess around. Shave, Shower, Teeth, Hair, and on the road in 15 minutes flat!
My kids.............................That's a different story
1st of the 3 S's,shave, shower and shine my shoes out the door in 20 minutes.
Used to be able to do it in 15 minutes but as I get older I'm a little more careful with the razor while in the shower. I now also allow myself the luxury of hot water.
