question about vac line cluster
Ok in my 82 f-150 300-6 there is a tower like thing coming off where the upper radiator hose mounts to the block that has a bunch (4-6) vac lines off it. Is this anything major (is it just the heater). Thanks for you help.

I just replaced my water outlet and took all that apart. I noticed that the bottom of that "tower" (the part inside the threads) looks like it must be some sort of temperature sensor, but there wasn't anything inside that would control water flow to the heater. Does this control a vacuum signal based on the coolant being hot?

Its called a ported vac. switch its a delay valve for the vac. advance and the Egr ....those are some of the things they are used for hope this helps .
