Alright guys weekend is here its Injector replacement time, went to the dealer to get all my stuff picked up my two injectors and oil filter I ordered that new drain plug for the HFCM a while ago called the two dealers in the area one didnt know what I was talking about the other ordered it for me, International never called me back, so I ordered it and it still didnt come in today and I can get that bolt out but have nothing to put back in for the time being would it be possible to loosen the four bolts on the manifold and drain it that way? until they get this new upgraded plug for me? and would I need a new gasket?
If you can remove the OEM plug, why not just put it back in until you get the upgrade plug? Is the allen wrench opening stripped? I would think that you would need a new gasket if you remove the HFCM manifold housing cover...or chance a leak. You could just back the cap out and let the residual fuel flow into a catch container, install the new fuel filter and switch plugs later.
stock bolt has the daylights stripped out of it for the hex head threads are most likely eaten with rust, going to heat the bolt then tap with hammer and chisel and get it out because only other way is to buy the manifold kit and ford wants $120 that I cannot afford at the moment, I had a feeling the manifold would need the new gasket
