More POWER!!!!!!!?

I have a 2001 F-250 CC SB 4x4 Lariat V10 4R100, 305/70/16 BFG Muds, with 3.73 gears. I pull an 8-10k trailer often. I want more pulling power.
Plans include 4.30 gears, headers, exhaust, 5-star tune. What would you do 1st and last? Also am I missing anything? I have 157k on the truck, Will be doing all the wrenching myself, So it's parts only for cost. I'm thinking gears 1st, then exhaust, then tune. opinions?

if you can afford it go gears..

then 5-star..

if your still not happy go headers/muffler..

but really regearing is the single biggest increase to power across the board you can go

Gears, but I think with that tire you might want to go 4.56. The V10 should have came with 4.10-4.30 IMHO. Then go with the tuner. Gears for me some day, got all the other stuff, just dont have the punch off the line. But the altitude here has a lot to do with that.

+1 Especially since your pulling up to 10K often.

This is the only pic I have uploaded. Its a 2004 XL F350 that was special ordered and sat on the dealers lot for a while. I am the second owner, bought it from a close friend, about a year ago. He called last week wanting to buy it back, nada no way. It was ordered with manual hubs, and t-case, front buckets no center console, no carpet, no power windows, no door locks but I added those with an alarm. It also has the clear jewel headlights instead of the XL set up Cruise control, Auto. and tilt wheel. Now for the goodies about 3 inches of lift front and rear 17" wheels, very worn out 35s in this pic, its now is on 285s , Alpine stereo upgraded speakers. Spd y-pipe hypertech max energy tuner(wish it were 5 Star) 70 series flowmaster, air raid throttle spacer. A blast to drive, and turns heads.

I agree nice ride. Actually sounds almost identical to mine (except for the auto tranny)... have to custom order things to get the 'manual' stuff anymore.

That is a very good looking truck. Would have never guessed it to be an XL. I like that color alot, And yes it has some nice options, I'm getting old and lazy and like the comfort of my lariat though. lol

I was also going to suggest considering 4.56 gears for that tire/trailer combo.

And I concur, gears first, then tuner, then headers and y-pipe, then muffler.

Yes i would love to have the Banks powerpack. I had it on my '99 with 4.56 gears and 315s and it would run circles around my '01!!!

For the latest news, In about 30min the tires and wheels are coming off. I sold the 305/70/16 BFG KM2s and my 16x10 AR Atlas wheels, and Im putting stock Lariat 5 spokes back on with 265/75/16 YOKO AT/S. I hope it is worth it!! It is like castrating my truck!! Im hoping that the stock tires and wheels will give me a better, quieter ride and add some power back. I guess Im getting old and want a smooth quiet ride. LOL

Some new shocks I think are in my future, it has 157K and factory shocks, What would you all recommend?

Also I am wanting to sell or trade my '05 grill and bumper for for an '01 grill and bumper. Mine is a factory white '06 grill with a chrome bumper with white upper pad.

Also I am going to pull my '08 rear bumper off and sell it and put my factory back on. So I have a 2008 rear bumper painted white with sensor holes and rings for sale If anyone is interested
